612 Camshaft

KDS racing has camshafts that have been specifically designed for the broadest powerband possible. After testing what was already available, I found most cams to be disappointing, whether it be throttle response, torque, or overrev. The mainstay of the KDS line is the 612 which has it’s own unique and agressive lobe design.

This cam provides brutal torque and throttle response, while having the top-end power of much larger cams. This cam is also very gentle on the valvetrain even considering the relatively high lift. Requires exhaust rocker clearancing ($40 option), and some head clearancing. Beehive springs recommended ($200) option. This is the ultimate “riders” cam!
